Le Mouvement

This series grew out of a desire for free exploration: to experiment with movement, light, and slowness in order to reveal what the eye cannot grasp in an instant. Rather than fixing a subject in place, I wanted to deconstruct the presence of the human body in space, and show the way it leaves behind a trace , a passage.
An intuitive collaboration with the model: the movements were not choreographed, but improvised, allowing organic forms to surface naturally..

This project centres on the visual impact of the moving body.
By reducing the shutter speed, gestures turn into continuous, almost abstract forms that express rhythm, energy, and emotion. It is no longer just a body, but a line, a vibration, a luminous trace.
Using a slow shutter speed to capture the continuity of movement.
Shot in low light to emphasise the contrast between the body, its movement through space, and the surrounding emptiness.
Focus on three areas of the body: the hands, the upper body, and the mouth.
Each expresses a different way of communicating, projecting oneself, or leaving a trace.
What we see is no longer a body, but its trace.
What is captured is no longer a single moment, but a stretch of time.
